Richard B. White, PE, PLLC is a professional civil environmental engineering limited liability company founded and managed by Rich White. With 40 years of consulting engineering practice, Rich has substantial experience in the assessment, design, and management of civil and environmental engineering projects. He has provided consulting services to small and large mining, oil and gas, chemical, and other industrial concerns as well as local, State, and Federal governments throughout the United States and internationally.
Rich obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Watershed Science in 1976 and a Master of Science degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering in 1977, both from Utah State University. After serving as a hydrologist with two respected consulting firms, he co-founded EarthFax Engineering, Inc. in 1982 and served at its helm for over 30 years. He sold EarthFax to Pacific Western Technologies Ltd. In 2013 and continues to provide consulting services as an expert in the fields of disturbed-land reclamation, stream-channel stabilization, oil-spill response, soil and groundwater remediation, hydrologic and hydraulic assessments, and water-supply development.
Rich is a former member and chair of the Utah Solid and Hazardous Waste Control Board. He also served for eight years as a member of the U.S. Department of Commerce, Environmental Technologies Trade Advisory Committee where he chaired the Trade Promotion Subcommittee. He is registered as a Professional Engineer in six States (Arizona, Colorado, Montana, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming), with the ability to register in other States as the need arises.
Rich is passionate about his family, the great outdoors, and leaving the world a better place. He is as comfortable on the back of a horse high in a wilderness area as he is in a Board Room explaining alternatives for accomplishing an engineering goal.
